The 2nd class is NLT, (NextLevel Training) 'SIRT' Laser Pistol training system, which by the way I am confident is the best method for teaching new shooters how to use today's modern handguns and is superior in maintaining the marksmanship skills of old salty shooters too!
Along with the Laser Pistols we use electronic & computerized targets to provide students with the best shooting experience, educational feedback and shot analysis. The Laser Pistols we use are not cheap video-game toys. They are expensive replicas of real handguns and have functional features similar to the Glock 17, 19, 22, 48 & 34. We also utilize a variety of popular, concealable sub-compact semi-auto & revolver pistols, such as the Glock 42/43, Ruger LC9, Ruger LCP, S&W Shield, S&W J-Frame 38, and Taurus PT111.

The major problems with relying on live fire range training alone are Cost:

Full Range of Motion: Pulling the trigger is one thing but professionals know you also need to train in drawing the firearm from your concealed holster, readying the firearm, getting into a stance & grip, reloading, malfunctions, and re-holstering the gun. Not only do most ranges have rules against this but it can also be very dangerous to train these skills with a fully loaded firearm.
Stationary: Real life never holds still, except at the range and you’re only allowed to stand still and fire flat-footed at a single stationary target. This doesn't prepare you for a world where targets move and you need to move too.
Single Target: Both indoor & outdoor ranges have rules against setting up multiple targets but in real life, you shouldn't bet your life on engaging a single assailant.

III: Live Fire Shooting Range
Extend your Firearms Training Experience with the 4th class, which is live fire training at the Shooting Range.
Don't Own a Handgun: The Shooting Range has about 100 rental guns to choose from and novice shooters will have no problem finding a handgun that is the perfect caliber, size, and fit for their use and eventual purchase.
Purchase Ammo: Ammunition is of course required for firearms training. 5150 HEAT students who have never bought a handgun in California will have no problem obtaining ammunition to fire at the Shooting Range.
Targets: The Indoor Shooting Range and Outdoor Shooting Range have a variety of targets for you to choose from.

Men and women come to 5150 HEAT Firearms Training Academy for the same reason – SELF-DEFENSE! But, for the past year we haven’t been filling our classroom with a gender-mixture of male and female students. Our lady students no longer feel singled out, intimidated and uncomfortable. Our Instructors and our training allows the creation of an environment that’s comfortable, flexible, malleable and changeable in order to overcome decades of behavioral differences and society's expectations, i.e. we coach the soft wiring!
This course is designed for women because we’ve been inaccurately taught that they think and learn differently from men. That combined with the fact that women have unique needs and expectations as they relate to firearms & firearms training, i.e. use of force; loud noises; recoil; concealed mechanisms; jargon; etc. We’ve eliminated the awkward testosterone driven setting of coed training and in its place we’ve allowed women to learn with others who have the same behavioral/societal expectations and soft wiring, just like you. You’re invited to join our cutting-edge firearms instruction presented in a safe and comfortable classroom setting.
Course Overview
Women’s Handgun and Self-Defense Fundamentals is a welcoming and engaging firearms training curriculum with multiple layers of instruction. We have developed four distinct levels of training that can be modified or used in combination:
1. Women’s Basic Pistol
2. Women’s Intermediate Pistol
3. Women’s Defensive Pistol
4. State of the Art LASER Training System*
The course is designed to reach interested women students who are either brand new to firearms (yes, even ladies that have never picked up a gun before) and all the way through to women who are familiar with firearms and ready to learn more about marksmanship vs. defensive shooting and take the next steps with their firearms skills, tools, and mindset.
The fundamentals of shooting will be introduced, reviewed, reinforced and built upon, while also exploring universal safety rules, situational awareness, common types of handguns, ammunition types, marksmanship skills, advanced firearms handling, defensive pistol fundamentals, cover vs. concealment, dry-firing, laser pistol training, (included in this course); AVOID, ESCAPE, DEFEND and the use of deadly force. Specifically, Women’s Handgun and Self-Defense Fundamentals is all about sharing the basics—along with the fun, the seriousness, and the importance of being a responsibly armed female. After all, you are worth protecting.
Because there is no one size fits all approach to effective training 5150 HEAT Firearms Training Academy has developed this course into an exceptional 4 to 5* hour block of instruction that covers hands on training using our state of the art LASER PISTOL training system to highlight and reinforce your learning. Students will be introduced to handgun nomenclature, acronyms and handling revolvers and semi-automatic pistols in addition to demonstrations by highly trained and experienced professional law enforcement instructors.

The NRA was founded in 1871 to advance rifle and pistol safety and marksmanship. Today, 154 years later the modern NRA has become a prominent organization while continuing to teach firearm safety and competency. We teach the NRA Basic Pistol Course.
The NRA BASIC PISTOL COURSE is designed for both the beginner and experienced shooter. This course teaches the fundamentals of shooting. You will learn the NRA’s gun safety rules, the different pistol parts and how they operate, fundamentals of shooting (gun safety, stance, grip, sight alignment, sight picture, trigger control, breath control, follow-through, recoil recovery, proper gun storage and dominant eye). Students will receive the NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting (e-textbook), and after passing a written and practical test. At the successful completion of the course, students will be issued a nationally recognized training certificate that can present to the court as evidence of accomplishment. This course will include everything EXCEPT Live-Fire and of course handling actual firearms or actual live-fire at a gun range.
The NRA PISTOL MARKSMANSHIP SIMULATOR TRAINING COURSE teaches the Universal Gun SAFETY RULES (plus, a few more), the firearm fundamentals such as, (correct stance, grip, sight alignment, sight picture, trigger control, breath control, follow-through, recoil recovery, proper gun storage and dominant eye). Students will use ULTRA SAFE, STATE-OF-THE-ART simulated Laser Pistols manufactured by Next Level Training SIRT - Laser Pistols combined with LASR/LaserX Electronic Target systems in our very comfortable stress-free, safe and sound classroom. At the successful completion of the course, students will be issued a nationally recognized training certificate that can present to the court as evidence of accomplishment. 1) Correspondence between you and your attorney mandating the training
2) Court documents showing arrest details, such as, specifically, what you were arrested for.
FAILURE TO BRING REQUIRED DOCUMENTS MAY RESULT IN DELAY OF CERTIFICATE.
Registration and Cancellation
A $50.00 NON-REFUNDABLE registration deposit must be made online. Cancellation or re-scheduling of your registration requires a 48-hour notice and can be done by calling or emailing our office at Annie.5150.heat@gmail.com. Emails are time/date stamped and must be received 48 hours prior to start time to be eligible for a refund. Failure to cancel or reschedule your registration within that 48-hour period, will result in forfeiture of your deposit.

Several States issue Multi-State, Non-Resident CCW Permits that have no State residency requirement and may be obtained by any legal resident of the United States (States that do not restrict Gun possession or Gun ownership). Florida Concealed Carry Reciprocity Map & Gun Laws
Gun laws vary from state to state. Citizens traveling with firearms should familiarize themselves with firearms ownership and possession laws of any state they plan to visit. Visit https://www.fdacs.gov/ Consumer-Resources/Concealed-Weapon-License/Concealed-Weapon-License-Reciprocity to find links to each reciprocity state’s web site. Questions regarding firearms laws in a particular state should be directed to law enforcement authorities in that state for clarification.
Section 790.015, Florida Statutes, allows Florida to recognize concealed weapon licenses issued by another state provided the other state will honor Florida concealed weapon licenses. Florida has reached reciprocity/mutual recognition agreements with the states listed below. A Florida Concealed Weapon or Firearm License is valid in any of these states, and resident concealed weapon license holders of these states can carry concealed weapons in Florida. Any exceptions are noted below, with explanation in footnotes on reverse side.
