My name is Ken ‘KC’ Clements. I am a retired Police Officer, having honorably served the citizens of California and the nation for 30 years. My experience extends to essentially every aspect of the law enforcement profession, including as police department firearms instructot & police academy tactical officer & instructor.
We want to provide more flexible learning opportunities to everyone who wants to obtain a license to legally carry a handgun in California, while maintaining the level of training expected from a traditional in-person training course. We continually strive to provide both the highest level of traditional instructor-led classroom style training and online training. which is a way cooler way to do instructor-led training. We offer our unique Online CCW Training to every student inside & outside of California. Our courses are constantly updated and maintained to stay up to date with all of California’s ever-changing laws.

- 16-Hour New Issue Course Required for first-time CCW applicants.
- 8-Hour Renewal Course For individuals renewing their existing California CCW license.
👉 Reminder: The online CCW course covers the classroom training portion only. All students must still complete the in-person live-fire qualification to fully meet California DOJ requirements.

Completion of this 16-hour online course and your live-fire qualification will enable you to apply for your California CCW. This course is broken down into multiple sections containing lessons of instruction that you will be tested on at the end of each section and a Final Exam covering all course content. You may start, stop, and resume as much as you like. You must complete the lectures or reading segment before you will be able to complete the segment test. Each lesson is timed to meet California State Requirements of 16-hours. You 90 days to complete this course from time of purchase.
Once you have completed the course, you will be able to print or screenshot a certificate of completion. You will then take that certificate to your affiliate for your “live-fire” qualification. The shooting portion of your test can be completed according to the affiliates instructions within the course. In some cases, scheduling of an appointment may be required for the live-fire qualification along with a qualification fee.

The idea for 5150 HEAT LLC Online California CCW was borne by police academy instructor & police officer (Retired) who had been using the traditional method of in-person Concealed Carry (CCW) training and successfully teaching thousands of CCW students for several years. Nevertheless, there was a constant problem with scheduling students and bending their schedules around outdated in-person training sessions.
Today 5150 HEAT LLC is affiliated with California Online CCW. Five years ago California Online CCW launched an innovative Online CCW training curriculum, during the beginning of the COVID pandemic. California Online CCW launched their venture as an online renewal option for their Indoor Shooting Rrange, in Fresno County. Since that time, they have grown throughout the State of California, gathering excellent affiliates such as 5150 HEAT LLC to offer the same courses to responsible gun owners seeking self-protection in California and nationwide.

Hello, my name is Ken 'KC' Clements.
California Online CCW & 5150 HEAT, LLC want to provide a more flexible learning method to everyone inside and outside of California who wants to obtain a license to carry in California while maintaining the level of training expected from a traditional in-person training course.

BACKGROUND
The idea for California Online CCW was birthed by two instructors who had been teaching courses and working at an indoor shooting range for several years. A constant issue was scheduling for students and working their schedules around in-person training sessions.
We launched our Online CCW platform at the beginning of the COVID pandemic, California Online CCW launched as an online renewal option for The Firing Line, Clovis Indoor Shooting range, in Fresno County.
Since that time, we have separated and formed our own business entity and grown throughout the State of California, gathering talented affiliates such as 5150 HEAT, LLC to offer the same courses to their county residents.
