The 16-hour + minimum California SB-2 compliant CCW Course covers basic firearms handling, Developing a Personal & Home Protection Plan, Self-Defense Firearms Basics, Defensive Shooting Fundamentals, Situational Awareness, Conflict Avoidance, Mental Health & Mental Health Resources, the Legal Use of Force, Violent Encounters & Their Aftermath, What to Say or Not Say to Police, Gear & Gadgets, Basic & Advanced Skills, Marksmanship, State & Federal Gun Laws, and finally, storage, and maintenance of weapons. The class is concluded with a course review, discussion, written test, handgun function check, and handgun qualification session at the range.
The class requires you to bring a few things such as your own handgun, ammo, and gear.

- OUR ONLINE CCW COURSE SCHEDULE: ANYTIME & ANYPLACE STUDENTS MAY STOP AND COME BACK TO THE COURSE!

- Course will be broken down into sections containing lessons on the topic of the section.
- Student must complete each section, section quizzes, and final exam at the end of the course.
- Student may stop at any time and come back to course at any time.
- Student will have 90 days to start, finish, and print certificate of completion.
- Certificate of completion for this course is good for 90 days.

NON-RESIDENT 16 HOUR INITIAL ONLINE CCW APPLICATION COURSE
This course is intended to be taken by people residing outside of California that want to obtain a license to carry concealed while visiting the State of California. This course meets all of the requirements in the California penal code outlining the requirements for the 16 hour course as required by California law. The student will still need to perform a live-fire shoot that will be provided by the agency with whom they apply.
Completion of this 16-hour online course and your live-fire qualification will enable you to apply for your California CCW with an agency in a county where you intend to visit. This course is broken down into multiple sections containing lessons of instruction that you will be quizzed on at the end of each section, along with a Final Exam covering all course content. NON-RESIDENT 16 HOUR INITIAL ONLINE CCW APPLICATION COURSE
Welcome to your California-mandated 16-Hour Non-Resident California CCW class. Completion of this online course and your live-fire qualification will enable you to apply for your Non-Resident California CCW with an agency in a county where you intend to visit.
This course is broken up into multiple sections of instruction that you will be quizzed on at the end of each section. A 50-question final exam will be administered at the end with a passing requirement of 80%.
You must complete this course within 90 days from purchase, or you will be locked out, lose your progress, and be required to repay and start over.
You must complete the entire section before you will be able to complete each section’s quiz. Please pay attention to the timer at the bottom of the screen, the timer must expire before you can advance to the next section.
You may start, stop, and resume as much as you wish, but you will not be able to move on to the next section until you have completed the previous section and passed the section quiz.
Once you have completed the course, you will be able to print and/or save your certificate of completion. 16-Hour California CCW Initial Online Course
Completion of this 16-hour online course and your live-fire qualification will enable you to apply for your California CCW. This course is broken down into multiple sections containing lessons of instruction that you will be tested on at the end of each section and a Final Exam covering all course content. You may start, stop, and resume as much as you like. You must complete the lectures or reading segment before you will be able to complete the segment test. Each lesson is timed to meet California State Requirements of 16-hours. You 90 days to complete this course from time of purchase.
Once you have completed the course, you will be able to print or screenshot a certificate of completion. You will then take that certificate to your affiliate for your “live-fire” qualification. The shooting portion of your test can be completed according to the affiliates instructions within the course. NON-RESIDENT 16-Hour California CCW Initial Course
Completion of this 16-hour online course and your live-fire qualification will enable you to apply for your California CCW with an agency in a county where you intend to visit. This course is broken down into multiple sections containing lessons of instruction that you will be quizzed on at the end of each section, along with a Final Exam covering all course content. Forty-years of training police officers has taught me many valuable firearms tactics, street survival and high stress combat performance lessons.
The 2nd class is NLT, (NextLevel Training) 'SIRT' Laser Pistol training system, which by the way I am confident is the best method for teaching new shooters how to use today's modern handguns and is superior in maintaining the marksmanship skills of old salty shooters too!
Along with the Laser Pistols we use electronic & computerized targets to provide students with the best shooting experience, educational feedback and shot analysis. The Laser Pistols we use are not cheap video-game toys. They are expensive replicas of real handguns and have functional features similar to the Glock 17, 19, 22, 48 & 34. We also utilize a variety of popular, concealable sub-compact semi-auto & revolver pistols, such as the Glock 42/43, Ruger LC9, Ruger LCP, S&W Shield, S&W J-Frame 38, and Taurus PT111.
In order to fill in training gaps we have several 'BLOWBACK' laser pistols, which are used to demonstrate the recoil of actual live fire handguns. Full Range of Motion: Pulling the trigger is one thing but professionals know you also need to train in drawing the firearm from your concealed holster, readying the firearm, getting into a stance & grip, reloading, malfunctions, and re-holstering the gun. This 4-hour course is broken down into 10 sections containing instruction that you will be tested on at the end of each section and a 20-question Final Exam covering all course content. You have 90 days to complete this course from time of purchase. After 90 days, you will be locked out of the course and be required to purchase the course again to pick-up where you left-off.

5150 HEAT – Firearms Training Academy: So, what’s with the name Ken? Okay, I’ll tell you. Once upon a time in the 1970’s, 1980’s & 1990’s I arrested or “Held” numerous people under the influence of or “tripping out” on psychedelic & hallucinogenic drugs Each of them were in a type of mental health crisis.
Having no viable options I was forced to use a little-known law: H.S. 5150 (No, not the 1986 Album '5150' by Van Halen). The 5150 law is a “legal hold” that allows the police keep someone in a hospital for up to 72 hours for psychiatric observation.
Okay, we’ve got ((( 5150 ))), where does the term ((( HEAT ))) come from?
I have alway been an active GANG OFFICER for my entire law enforcement career. “HEAT” is gang slang for GUN.
It was important to have a name for my new firearms school and I didn’t want to use my real name because it would be recognizable and to make matters worse, the last few California Governors have been letting the " a——holes" I helped put into prison – OUT of PRISON!
There it is gang… 5150 HEAT aka: "Crazy Gun." I eventually turned the enterprize into a Limited Liability Company (LLC).

Meet Ken 'KC' Clements
Instructor: I am a retired Police Officer, serving more than 30-years of honorable & dedicated service to the citizens of California. My experience & education extends to virtually every aspect of the law enforcement profession.
In addition, to my patrol duties I served as a Gang Officer, SWAT, Hostage Negotiator, Fugitive Taskforce Teams, Police Firearms Tactical Instructor & Range Master tasked with mentoring & qualifying department officers. I also served as a Police Academy Instructor & Tactical Officer training thousands of men & women police academy recruits.
Due to a unique set of circumstance, I was a member of the Presidential Security Team, tasked with protecting the lives of Presidents: Nixon, primarilly but also Presidents, Ford, Reagan & Bush, playing a critical role in protecting their families, friends, cabinet members, celebrities, and visiting world leaders.
Throughout my law enforcement career I was directly envolved as a normal course of duty in numerous use of force incidents and courtroom trials.
Nevertheless, once upon a time during late April & early May 1992. I was thrown into eight critical 12-hour, night-time tours of duty: Yes, the South Central LA & Rodney King riots. I became fully involved in total war & blazing infernos on the streets of South Central Los Angeles. These were extraordinary times and circumstances, during a government imposed Martial Law, which means a state or city is placed under the control of the U.S. Military because law enforcement is vastly overwhelmed. Both the
U.S. President and the U.S. Congress have the power impose Martial Law. The riots happened less than 30-miles from where I lived.
Since retirement, as a civilian firearm instructor I have continued training responsible men & women "Responsible Gun Owners" interested in developing their personal safety & family protection, home defense, concealed carry (CCW) techniques, laws and strategies.
Since 1980, I have developed an extensive and varied background in teaching the art & science of firearms safety, situational awareness, conflict avoidance, defensive shooting, CQC (close-quarters combat) tactical concepts through actual hands-on experience in “Street Survival Skills” with “Actual on the Job” Use of Deadly Force knowledge. I take personal satisfaction in sharing my tactical know-how and knowledge with good people in need of helpful tutoring in firearms safety, self-defense & defensive shooting.
