Arizona's Multi State CCW Permit
You need to protect yourself and your family when traveling! Several States issue Multi-State, Non-Resident CCW Permits that have no State residency requirement and may be obtained by any legal resident of the United States (States that do not restrict Gun possession or Gun ownership). These are the best Multi-State Concealed Carry Permits available. The Arizona CCW Permit will allow Arizona Residents to legally carry in 36 States. The Florida CCW Permit is the only Non-Resident Permit available to California residents that will allow you to legally carry in Florida, and 29 other States. Florida Concealed Carry Reciprocity Map & Gun Laws
Gun laws vary from state to state. Citizens traveling with firearms should familiarize themselves with firearms ownership and possession laws of any state they plan to visit. Visit https://www.fdacs.gov/ Consumer-Resources/Concealed-Weapon-License/Concealed-Weapon-License-Reciprocity to find links to each reciprocity state’s web site. Questions regarding firearms laws in a particular state should be directed to law enforcement authorities in that state for clarification.
Section 790.015, Florida Statutes, allows Florida to recognize concealed weapon licenses issued by another state provided the other state will honor Florida concealed weapon licenses. Florida has reached reciprocity/mutual recognition agreements with the states listed below. A Florida Concealed Weapon or Firearm License is valid in any of these states, and resident concealed weapon license holders of these states can carry concealed weapons in Florida. Any exceptions are noted below, with explanation in footnotes on reverse side.

Our Instructors and our training allows the creation of an environment that’s comfortable, flexible, malleable and changeable in order to overcome decades of behavioral differences and society's expectations, i.e. we coach the soft wiring!
This course is designed for women because we’ve been inaccurately taught that they think and learn differently from men. That combined with the fact that women have unique needs and expectations as they relate to firearms & firearms training, i.e. use of force; loud noises; recoil; concealed mechanisms; jargon; etc. We’ve eliminated the awkward testosterone driven setting of coed training and in its place we’ve allowed women to learn with others who have the same behavioral/societal expectations and soft wiring, just like you. You’re invited to join our cutting-edge firearms instruction presented in a safe and comfortable classroom setting.
Course Overview
Women’s Handgun and Self-Defense Fundamentals is a welcoming and engaging firearms training curriculum with multiple layers of instruction. We have developed four distinct levels of training that can be modified or used in combination:
1. Women’s Basic Pistol
2. Women’s Intermediate Pistol
3. Women’s Defensive Pistol
4. State of the Art LASER Training System*
The course is designed to reach interested women students who are either brand new to firearms (yes, even ladies that have never picked up a gun before) and all the way through to women who are familiar with firearms and ready to learn more about marksmanship vs. defensive shooting and take the next steps with their firearms skills, tools, and mindset.
The fundamentals of shooting will be introduced, reviewed, reinforced and built upon, while also exploring universal safety rules, situational awareness, common types of handguns, ammunition types, marksmanship skills, advanced firearms handling, defensive pistol fundamentals, cover vs. concealment, dry-firing, laser pistol training, (included in this course); AVOID, ESCAPE, DEFEND and the use of deadly force. Specifically, Women’s Handgun and Self-Defense Fundamentals is all about sharing the basics—along with the fun, the seriousness, and the importance of being a responsibly armed female. After all, you are worth protecting.
Because there is no one size fits all approach to effective training 5150 HEAT Firearms Training Academy has developed this course into an exceptional 4 to 5* hour block of instruction that covers hands on training using our state of the art LASER PISTOL training system to highlight and reinforce your learning. Students will be introduced to handgun nomenclature, acronyms and handling revolvers and semi-automatic pistols in addition to demonstrations by highly trained and experienced professional law enforcement instructors.
Our course of instruction is unique in that it stands alone and can take a novice with NO firearms education or knowledge and turn her into a confident and safe firearms handler, enthusiast and “markswoman!”

Blessed are the Peacemakers...
I have a good friend and he's a 'Peacemaker,' he's a fellow brother of the 'Thin Blue Line.' My friend's name is Gordon Graham. Gordon is very smart, very funny, very successful and of course he is very Blessed. Captain Gordon Graham has 30 plus years as a cop and he retired as a Commander with the California Highway Patrol.
Remember that TV show, CHIPS?
Yep, CHiPs - Well the macho, rambunctious Officer Francis ("Frank") Llewellyn "Ponch" Poncherello is actually Gordon Graham, (before the promotional sergeant lobotomy*). Bet you didn’t know that. If you spent an hour with him you'd quickly notice the similarities. Just like carbon copies the resemblance and likeness are so obvious.
(*) If you know Gordon Graham you'd totally understand the term promotional lobotomy! Do I really want to stick to that lame story? -- Yeah, that's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
During his tenure as California Highway Patrol Officer, Gordon also found the time to get his Juris Doctorate. Gordon is a COP, an ATTORNEY and one of the biggest supporters of police and firefighters that I have ever met. His education as a Risk Manager and experience as a practicing Attorney, coupled with his extensive background in law enforcement, has allowed him to rapidly become recognized as a leading professional speaker.
About 27 years ago, (then) Sergeant Gordon Graham, suggested that I, and several other police officers he was mentoring keep track of our training records and all of our law enforcement related experience wherein; we would be able to develop and articulate our collective training into actual street expertise. The idea was to create a documented file, a resume' of sorts for court testimony complete with training certificates earned and logged police incidents to establish our expertise in a wide range of subject matter over the years doing police work.
So, for the benefit of the students that I mentor on the subject of firearms safety and self-defense, I believe it's also a good idea to keep detailed training records including the contact information of the training schools attended in a file. I'd also consider keeping a log of visits to the gun range, the firearms you practiced with, the dates you practiced dry firing, the videos you watch, the magazine articles and books you read on various topics of firearms safety, tactics, self-defense, low-light, etc, etc. Keep track!
Many people are "whistling past the graveyard” when they just head off to organized firearms training classes. I bet that “most” people who carry guns every day have not attended enough structured firearms training classes.
If you haven't had any formal training in a while or if you haven't had any “official” training, please get some. Make it a priority. If, for some reason, you can’t get to a well-respected training academy, you will need to get your information somewhere else. That will typically be books or videos. What I am about to say next will make some people gasp. Your shooting skills are of secondary importance to your knowledge and understanding of the legal aspects of the use of deadly force.
Yes, your shooting skills are important, but if you are the best shot in the world with the perfect draw, a rock-solid grip, unparalleled trigger control and perfect sight alignment, you will still go to jail if you use your gun at the wrong time and'or the wrong situation. That means your knowledge and understanding of the basic tenets of the judicious use of deadly force must be impeccable. Your knowledge of the laws of the jurisdiction in which you carry your firearm must be thorough. Your understanding of the factors that allow you to take a shot must be woven into your thinking. You must not make an error in judgment, because you will be held accountable for that error. Then you must combine these elements with effective situational awareness and the willingness to engage first in conflict avoidance before you resort to violence.
All of these elements will serve the platform from which you launch your counter-attack. Your pistol training must ensure that you can put three rounds on a human-sized target in under three seconds at a range of 10 feet. I can train almost anyone to shoot that well. Understanding the rules often takes much more time than learning to shoot.
So, even without “official” training, if you are involved in a shooting, investigators will ask you why you did what you did. You should keep copies of things you have read or a list of books or study guides that show where you have gotten your information.
But this begs the question: Is the material you reference reliable? If you are getting your gun training from that guy who shot himself in the leg on YouTube, you might not want to list that on your Curriculum Vitae. Seek top-notch information from organizations like the USCCA and trainers like Massad Ayoob, Clint Smith, Tiger McKee and others. I would prefer that you get hands-on training, but if you can’t, I insist that you familiarize yourself with the concepts and information surrounding the legal use of deadly force. It is your responsibility.
And when people ask why you fired in self-defense, you will have an honest an effective answer to provide them.

The NRA PISTOL MARKSMANSHIP SIMULATOR TRAINING COURSE teaches the Universal Gun SAFETY RULES (plus, a few more), the firearm fundamentals such as, (correct stance, grip, sight alignment, sight picture, trigger control, breath control, follow-through, recoil recovery, proper gun storage and dominant eye). Students will use ULTRA SAFE, STATE-OF-THE-ART simulated Laser Pistols manufactured by Next Level Training SIRT - Laser Pistols combined with LASR/LaserX Electronic Target systems in our very comfortable stress-free, safe and sound classroom. At the successful completion of the course, students will be issued a nationally recognized training certificate that can present to the court as evidence of accomplishment.
